Welcome to Whenever, Wherever "Haan wahi Shakira wale feel Ke Saath":)

Why this name? So that I can talk about whatever, whenever, wherever, however... aur Kabhi Kabhi who ever bhi. So Hua kya...so. a few days back I was chatting with my design intern: let's call her Ms P (for security reasons - I don't want anyone to spam her up all of a sudden.

while talking to her she seemed quite very lost, confused, and I quietly felt she was sometimes misguided by her surroundings.

We shared her queries and talked our way to some beautiful conclusions and realisations even. I hung up the call, got back to my usual activities and something stirred up in my mind. This is someone I know closely who has shared this concern and needs guidance. wouldn't there be so many other such youngsters who have the same fears, doubts that need to be addressed? And all this brought me here to make a channel to connect to whomever I could and start giving away my wisdom about it right off.

I don't know who needs to hear this today, Hey there, you !!!

If you have passed out from your design school recently or if you're one of those who is taking the last leap of the semester to call yourself a designer " finally!!" : then this piece of chat that would resonate with you now. So let me begin here... I will introduce your three monsters who are waiting outside your design school Abhi. I know some of them would be already anxious now… giggles*** Don’t be … **"Ek Gehri saans lo, breathe in and out"** Firstly, I want each one of you to be aware of the current scenario of the superficial scale outside us. And learn an improved way "to accept, grow and evolve" through these situations.

So let's jump into our Mr. Monster No. 1

TWISTED!! "Twisted Kyun?

Global Market se like covid home kit ke swab tak sab twist hi ho rahe hai … hahaha" Anyways... I'm sure all of you are quite anxious about what Covid has bought into the world the entire perspective of fashion and design working has completely changed and while I look at it from far .let me tell you "It’s for real and It's for good". Now that some of you will pass out of your respective colleges into the real world of fashion or might have already passed and you look dazed….

let me throw some light into 1 direction - "not the band":) THE MARKET IS TURNING INTO A HIGHLY COMPETITIVE DIGITAL PLATFORM!! THE WORLD

The 3D dimensions and the metaverse have already sunk in and swept us under our feet, settled between us even before we could practically grasp, faster than we thought.

Design schools are accelerating their skills into design software like CLO3d & Browsewear. It's time you should pump up with these skills and master them. This is a great time for it. Join some short term courses immediately and boost up your skillset.

Also meanwhile keep yourself updated with a small research on the current global market fashion scenario, which brands sustained through the pandemic, what were their strategies to live on, which brands tweaked their module and products to match the pace of their customer's mindset, which brands are going sustainable to save the earth so on and so forth. There are some websites like the Business of Fashion (BOF), WGSN (if you are privileged, Vogue, WWD, PopSugar, Who What Wear, GQ style, Glossy, Now Fashion aur Bhi boht sare hai. But a couple of these lists should give you quite a great deal of information on where we are heading now. Understanding what the market requires and what ways are changing in terms of its functioning in the future has become a norm. This global change trickles down to corporate working culture, to retailers, to even small-time entrepreneurs.

With this, you also get an insight into how you can level up that particular skill or a set of skills to fit in that dream role in fashion as a whole.

Ab chalte hai Mr.Monstaah No.2 JOB Market At this point, if you are looking at getting into a job… chances are it may only grill you more than usual than level any of your executive or design skills as such...

Why? So .. here it is…

At this point, every organisation is already sacking/sacked many of their employees and the ones retained are made to severely multi-task. This means if you get in, it's no learning but only executing and overburdening yourself … I honestly do not recommend this a good time to step into this domain. But if there is something catchy in a job, do your background check with some of the known friends, seniors, check them up on Professional platforms like Linkedin & check their websites. Study how the company is sailing through the pandemic and what new methods have they implemented to survive. All this will add up to your research on this position that you wish to grow with instead of being very taxing. Once you feel sort of 60-70% assured ki this is not like the usual rutt, then you may consider this option.

Monetary benefits to hai hi, but an assurance that you will not be misused will be the upper hand.

Let's now go to our last but important Monster No.3

Sabse bada….Rupaiyyya...PAISA...Money honey!!!

Gone are the days when our parents used to depend on just 1 source of income maybe 2 for some. But nothing beyond and life sailed with much or fewer options. I'm born with the 80s bubble in me. and I have seen my parents do this for a long time.

FAST fwd to NOW and look around, we are in a dynamic generation where money is everywhere, look around and use a few of your traits - you will learn how to bring the greens from anything and everything… SO let me insist here "Keep a close watch on your talents and hobbies." There is a market for everything in this world. Yes, even the paints that you threw on your canvas when you were bored, even those perfumes that you mix every day to get your statement fragrance. In the end, I would just say, Money can come from everywhere. Just keep your eyes open to …

1. Realising your happy space, and how this makes you different 2. To learn the tricks of where to invest in a talent of course. "a small study, a market pilot drop all these can get you this information." 3. Last but not least - learn and engage in affiliate marketing programs to get a hang of monetizing anything and everything. These are my 3 big points for everyone who felt lost. Try these. And I’m sure many things would fall in place on their own before you even realise
